As some of you may know already, I turn 40 in just a couple of months. (Wow, was it hard to type that sentence, and rather surreal.) For my midlife crisis I have decided to focus on completing my first triathlon, albeit of the short, sprint distance, which takes place on July 4, 2008.
To make the experience more meaningful -- and to provide motivation so I don't chicken out -- I have decided to use the event as an excuse to raise money for cancer research, in honor of my father (a cancer survivor) and in memory of paternal grandmother, who passed away due to lymphoma.
The American Cancer Society has been fighting cancer since 1913. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. All donations are tax-deductible.
