Tukolere Wamu Women's Group : Uganda
$0 of $3,200 raised.
Started raising funds on Nov 4, 2008
Robinah Nakagwa is the chairperson of Tukolere Wamu women’s group in Masajja. She has had a business for the past 4 years of selling fresh green bananas from a stall not far away from where she stays with her family. She sells both bunches of matooke and ones that she has picked so that all her customers are catered to.
Robinah is a married woman with 4 kids, all in school, while she helps out her parents in the village time and again. Her husband is a farmer keeping animals and poultry at home, as well as being a contractor building people's houses, and together they work so hard for their well-being and that of their children.
Robinah needs a loan to enable her to buy more matooke for sale from trucks, but she also has a plan of starting to sell firewood from the same stall plus keeping goats in December. She is surely grateful for her loans.
