NY Tech Meetup
The next three months are packed with exciting events for Social Actions.

Next week, I am headed to New York City to present alongside Clay Shirky (Here Comes Everybody), Paul Miller (School of Everything), Andrew Mason (The Point), and Jordan Goldberg (StickK) at the NY Tech Meetup (March 4).

We’ve each been given 5 minutes to talk about self-organizing with social media and demo our web 2.0 initiatives in front of 400+ technology professionals and entrepreneurs. I’m planning to use my five minutes to present the Social Actions Mashup and talk briefly about the Social Actions wizard (currently in development). If I can get hold of a video camera, I’ll record the five presentations and post them on YouTube or Blip.tv.

At the end of March, I head to New Orleans to attend the Nonprofit Technology Conference (March 19, 20, 21). I won’t be presenting this year. Instead, I’m looking forward to absorbing as much of other people’s knowledge as possible and meeting my online colleagues face-to-face.

If my proposal in the NetSquared Mashup Challenge picks up enough support in the next four weeks, Social Actions will have a chance to present its mashup proposal of 29+ social action platforms at the upcoming NetSquared Conference in San Jose (May 27 & 28). You can learn more about the NetSquared Mashup Challenge in this post.

I’ll do my best to live blog from all of these events. Stay tuned for an exciting three months of blog entries.

All the best, Peter
