Thank You for Voting in the NetSquared Mashup Challenge
By Peter Deitz Posted on March 23, 2008
I just put together this YouTube video to thank my friends and colleagues who added A Mashup of 29+ Social Action Platforms to their ballots in the NetSquared Mashup Challenge.
Monday, March 24 at 5 pm PST is the deadline for voting
If you voted for A Mashup of 29+ Social Action Platforms, please send me an email. This is the only way I know when and to whom to send thank you notes.
Simple Instructions for Casting Your Ballot
1) Create a free user account at NetSquared
2) Add "A Mashup of 29+ Social Action Platforms" to your ballot (You must be logged-in to do this; click "Add Project to Ballot" on this page)
3) Add four other mashups to your ballot
4) Review your ballot (Make sure "A Mashup of 29+ Social Action Platforms" is listed)
5) At the bottom of your ballot, click the "Cast Ballot" button
Note: The ballot submission process is a little bit confusing. If you get lost in the process, email me.
Thank you!

Social Actions Gift Card
Peter - Thank you for setting an example for community building and for inspiring all of the Mashup projects by building a beta at record pace!
I was thinking about how you're working on bringing all of the social actions platforms together. Perhaps another cool idea in this area would be a social actions gift card - a gift card you could use to donate funds on any social action platform. Wanna help a campaign on Change.org? Or donate to a project on GiveMeaning. Or perhaps a charity on SixDegrees? A Social Actions Gift Card could let you choose which causes you wanted to support, irrespective of the platform it was hosted on.
Re: Social Actions gift card
Hi Joe, Great idea! I wonder what would be the best way to go about this. I know of a few "gift card" providers, but their cards are each limited to one of the social action platforms.
Your suggestion comes at a time when I'm trying to figure out how to make Social Actions a fulltime gig! Let me know if you have any suggestions on how this could be implemented.
All the best,
Peter
Thanks, Peter!
Thanks, Peter! Unfortunately, this area is a bit outside my expertise. Your best bet might be to contact the card providers you know and see if they could point you in the right direction.
Good luck! - Joe
