What do you mean by actionable opportunity?
An actionable opportunity is an invitation for individuals to take action. The action can range from making a donation to volunteering to sharing expertise in a given area. We intentially use the word in the broadest terms possible. We want people to take action in ways that make sense to them, resulting in a distributed eco-system of individuals making a difference in their communities.
What is a social action platform?
Social Action platforms are social networks or online communities designed exclusively for facilitating peer-to-peer social change campaigns. They are in a unique position to guide individuals and organizations towards a model of outreach, fundraising, and program work that reflects the full potential of distributed social change.
Is Social Actions a for-profit or nonprofit?
Social Actions is a virtual non-profit organization. We are not registered in Canada or the U.S. as a charitble ortganization. Instead, we have fiscal sponsorship from an organization called Fractured Atlas.
How is Social Actions funded?
Social Actions is currently developing an earned-income program that does not rely on advertising, commissions, or membership fees. If you are interested in learning about our revenue structure, please contact us.
Where is Social Actions based?
Social Actions is based everyone and nowhere. We have paid consultants working in Quebec, British Columbia, and Michigan. Our community members are located around the world.
Is Social Actions a 501c3 organization?
