All About Nathan Benderson Park

Nathan Benderson Park was previously known as North Metro Park, then Cooper Creek Park. It stands as a 600 acre park which incorporates its own 400 acre artificial lake in Sarasota, where Randy Benderson also resides.

More Improvements Needed for Your Community Park

Nathan Benderson Park is the prestigious home to a full range of events and international sporting championships. Attendees enjoy a wide spectrum of recreational activities, like dragon boating, canoeing, kayak races, triathlons and cross-country events (5k and 10k runs), stand-up paddle boarding, as well as team building and corporate training events. The community park has a prime location adjacent to University Town Center, which is Southwest Florida’s latest shopping, dining, and entertainment destination.

Home of Prestigious Sporting Events

Nathan Benderson Community Park is home of the 2018 World Rowing Masters Regatta. Its 2,000-meter sprint rowing course and Regatta Center make it a formidable spot for the event. In 2017, the World Rowing Championships returned to U.S. soil for the first time in 25 years thanks to Benderson Park.

With the help of The Nathan Benderson Community Park Foundation, we know that Benderson Community Park is in the very best of hands.
